After this rather lacking Winter season of anime (with some notable exceptions), the upcoming Spring season of anime holds much more potential. Or at least, there are fairly interesting looking series set to debut (and some are especially hyped up, such as Fate/Zero and Sakamichi no Apollon).
Also, it seems that the anime-original trend we’ve seen in the past year or so is still going relatively strong with the likes of Eureka Seven Ao and Natsuiro Kiseki. Of course, the anime-original trend was kicked off by the infamous Mahou Shoujo Madoka last Winter season. There also seems to be a growing trend for older-style anime such as Zetman, Saint Seiya, and Ozuma.
As for the usual disclaimer, this season preview is merely a glimpse into each series based upon individual synopses, the directors and writers, preview videos, and studios. I do put in the effort to check out all available manga counterparts to the series, so I do believe my impressions should be fairly accurate when it comes to story. Nevertheless, there’s only so much you can get out of PVs and brief manga previews.
Anyways, continue after the break to see whatever series we have in store for Spring 2012.
